Out-of-Service Hours
Out-of-service hours are the total number of hours when an in-service ambulance is unexpectedly removed from service due to a variety of reasons. The reasons for ambulances being out of service can include stress management after a critical incident, mechanical failure on a truck, inspection, fatigue management of crew members, a motor vehicle accident and no staff available, among other reasons.
